I've been a little discouraged about my weight issues since Thursday when i went to my doctor. I gained weight in 3 months which shocked me cause i cut back on my eating. But i guess food isn't such a big issue with me it's more the medicine that I'm taking. I'm a diabetic so i'm on insulin & insulin tends to make me gain weight & it's increases your appetite a lot! I've been off of insulin before & put on some diabetic pills but that was when i was in the "honeymoon" phase of my diabetes & my pancreas had started working a little again but once your pancreas stops producing insulin it's forever & when the "honeymoon" phase was over the pills weren't working again so i was put back on insulin; but i noticed that when i was taken off of insulin I lost a lot of weight & then when i was put back on my weight increased. I try to not eat a lot but my biggest lack is motivation to exercise. But i'm getting scared cause I'm on blood pressure medicine to protect my heart, & my doctor told me Thursday that i'm leaking protein & having weight issues is not going to be good to me when i get older cause if a diabetic doesn't take care of their body a lot of things can go wrong such as: glaucoma, amputations, numbness, coma's, even death. So i'm getting really scared cause i know my weight is a BIG factor in keeping my diabetes under control. So i might need a lot of encouragement to keep me focused. Cause i have a lot of things to take care of in my life & my life is very chaotic & depressing sometimes. But i've been really down since Thursday when everything hit at once in the doctor's office with that not so pleasant visit. Sorry this was so long I just need to get some things off my chest. -deep breath- (:

Sorry this was so long I just need to get some things off my chest. -deep breath- (: Hey, well... that sucks like really bad... And i don't mind the fact it's long, type it all down if you want, haha. It can actually make you feel better (or at least i feel better when i write down things that bother me, even though i just let the paper stay in my desk drawer and i eventually just trow it away XD) I don't know if you already do this but perhaps going sporting will help you i've heard it makes your life less hectic and you'll be less depressed! Personally i feel sort of fulfilled after i did a work out. Perhaps you can join a team, so your teammates can encourage you too! Also to get rid of the feeling of hunger just drink a loooooot of water and eat vegetables/crackers/rice cake, it makes you feel full and contains no or low calories. Feeling depressed also causes you to snack a lot (well... i don't know, but in my case it does, so i'm guessing it usually does). So if you ever want to talk, just pm me. (perhaps it helps) What i think also helps is to 'spoil' yourself a little when you're feeling down, only not with nice foods but with things such as a facial mask or buy yourself a new t-shirt or anything Well... i think these are pretty standard advises, but i hope it helps! Good luck
