something i have done that i found a bit encouraging is make an inspiration board..i used pics of women who have nice bodies that i am striving for or some other quality that i admire..i also used pics of them working out[nina dobrev, katy perry]to remind myself that they have to work hard too!!! i also put quotes all around the board..i read them before i work out to get inspired..here are a few examples of quotes i put on my board: "You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be." -David Viscott "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -Eleanor Roosevelt "You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?" -George Bernard Shaw "Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality." -Ralph Marston "You're never beaten until you admit it." -George S. Patton "You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance." -Lee Iacocca "You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there." -Unknown Author "You don't realize how strong a person really is until you see them at their weakest moment." -Unknown Author "You may delay, but time will not." -Benjamin Franklin this may seem like a really dorky thing to do..but i found it rather fun and looking at all the pics while i was cutting them out was inspiring in itself..plus whenever i want to quit my workout i just look up at my board for a minute or 2 and think.."if i really want this i'm gonna have to work for it." i hope that this will help someone else..and if anyone needs help or tips on how to make a really cute inspiration board..don't hesitate to pm me xoxo, ashleigh p.s. don't worry too much if you break your diet or miss a workout..just try harder and don't give up!!! we all make mistakes or forget so don't get too upset..we are only human after all

Love the quotes you used. I believe Quotes help when feeling in doubt and you see someone else who makes you strive for your goal. Thanks for sharing.

Well...i guess school is stressing me out right now...but i am kicking ass in it so that is definitely a plus. but i gotta remember that instead of going for a chocolate bar, go for a piece of gum. Recently, i have found that gum helps me out alot. it keeps my mouth moving and well...no food to put in it haha. but thanks for the kind words! I APPRECIATE IT SOO MUCH YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!

i just gained two pounds...looks like im gonna do protein shakes for a while It can have something to do with your ummm... menstruation cycle? Your body holds more water slightly before your period. Also muscles weigh more than fat I tend not to look at people's weigh to much, I know some people who weigh a lot but look totally in shape! A smile on your face does more to your appearance than your weigh, imo

Over the past year I have been through a rough time. I was really depressed and I can't go anywhere because we have one car and I don't know anyone where I currently am. Anyways, I'm moving in a few months to go to college. All this depression and stress caused me to gain a lot of weight. I didn't even realize that I gained over 50 lbs in a year. It was that bad. I'm still very stressed out. I bought a manual treadmill. My goal is to get in shape. I started off well, but I seem to have lost all motivation. What can I do? I really don't want to look like this anymore.

Back then I didn't have the motivation to work out and eat healthier, but now I'm gonna be 25 and I really need to get healthy. Life isn't as fun when you're restricted by your weight. It feels almost like your trapped, so I'm ready to be free!!

I really don't want to look like this anymore. First of all... If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always pm me It might feel a bit weird talking about serious stuff to people who are just virtual to you, but perhaps it's easier talking to someone you don't know in person... Well... just thought I'd offer. I don't know about you... but having a treadmill machine at home doesn't sound that exiting to me. Like, it's handy to use once in a while, but I wouldn't do it regularly either. So... I think that... If you have the time/money maybe you can join some sports club. There has to be some sport you like doing and weather it's a team sport or an individual sport you also meet new people there +I'm guessing you snack a lot... perhaps there are some healthier snacks you like too and can take in stead of chips and chocolate, ect. (i'm not saying you should live on salads, but perhaps you can take rice cake with a tiny bit of hazelnut paste in stead of chocolate chip cookies...) Anyway keep it up

Thank you. Here's the thing though. I barely eat anything. My mom says I don't eat enough to keep a bird alive haha. I cut back on soda. The closest gym is over an hour away and I don't have a car yet. I use online school because we moved alot the past year too. So, there is no school team. I just want to get the weight off and keep it off before I move. I bought ankle weights and I also but lifting weights that I have been using while I watch my shows at night haha. My past year, all my time was basically at the computer or sitting down in some sort of way. I was not active. Before all of this, I was very active. I was in cheerleading, drama, choir, environmental club. So I guess when I became so inactive it really hit me.

I think sometimes it is easier to talk to people online cause they can't judge you. Well Samantha, I might suggest going to talk with your doctor. I went to talk with him and he suggested a lot of different weight loss options and they've worked! I've lost 30 pounds since June! I know it seems like forever, and we all wish it would come off in the blink of an eye, but it's gonna take work! If you're not eat much and still can't lose weight there might be some other explanation for why that is hun. We are always here to help just like frederico said!!! Hopefully you'll find some stuff on the other parts of the board that might work for you too!!
